About Peru Amazon Tours

Ricardo Pinedo Guerra leads Peru Amazon Tours. In 1995 he founded Cumaceba Amazon Lodge and Cumaceba Botanical Lodge, two ecolodges on the banks of the Amazon River. Ricardo was born in the Amazon, in a small village on the river bank. He grew up in the jungle and knows its secrets. As a boy, he paddled his canoe across the river every day to reach his small school. His parents were farmers who grew tobacco and raised cattle. In those years he learned how to live with the weather and the jungle. He also learned to use plants and natural medicine to treat common ailments, because riverside families have little access to pharmacy products. Today, with the experience of many years, Ricardo invites you to live the Amazon your own way. On our tours, you are the main character. Welcome to the Amazon.
