Tours in Pacaya Samiria National Reserve

Our Story

Where Is Pacaya Samiria?

Pacaya Samiria National Reserve is one of the largest protected areas in Peru. It lies in the Loreto region, in the Amazon lowlands, and it is known as the Jungle of Mirrors (Selva de los Espejos). It is also the place where the Marañón and Ucayali rivers meet to form the Amazon River.

The reserve covers parts of the provinces of Loreto, Requena, Ucayali and Alto Amazonas, in the Loreto region. The nearest town is Nauta, which sits on the bank of the Marañón River. From Iquitos, Nauta is about 1.5 hours by road through the jungle.
